11/21/08 - 11/22/08 : Allentown, PA
Presenters: Dr. Barry Glassman
Description:
The ability to treat patients with obstructive disorders immediately upon the return to your office is the chief objective of this course. A comprehensive review of sleep medicine principles as well as the role of the dentist in diagnosis and treatment will position the participant to become an active part of the treatment team. A hands-on portion with appliance insertion by all participants is included, as well as practice management, billing, and managing joint and muscular complications. The use of ambulatory studies is taught in a way that allows it to be used immediately and totally accepted by sleep medicine. All forms used in the Allentown Pain Center are reduced as part of the extensive manual.
While all the details of sleep medicine which are necessary for you to understand and begin therapy are taught, the key has been the model that allows you the dentist to become a part of and not a competitor to your sleep medicine physicians. You will learn exactly what hasnt worked in the past despite the marketing claims that they have and why they havent worked; and most importantly what does work!
The course is two full days PLUS an evening session Friday night, maximizing education with less time out of your office. An additional office viewing day at the minimal fee of two hundred and fifty dollars is available to the first seven registrants. During this day you will see both sleep medicine and pain patients; watch follow up visits; learn how the staff can function to help most efficiently, and how to schedule and manage patient care. This helps put the next two days into total perspective.
Feel free to go to the Testimonial section and hear what some of Dr. Glassmans attendees have to say about this course in particular!
This is a true hands-on opportunity. You will be given specific instructions on how to take a bite registration and where to send your own bite registration and models for your own appliance that will be inserted during the course.! In some instances more than one appliance will be delivered!
Hotel information and where to sent your models will be sent to you approximately one month before the course Full refunds (minus fifty dollar registration) available 30 days before course date. Full credit for future courses after that date.
